Pushcart Nominated

Ever since I started writing I’ve read Pushcart Nominated short form writers and thought ‘what’s that, then?’ and wondered if I’d ever, could I ever …?

A Pushcart Nomination means a small press has selected your work (they put up to six pieces forward a year) which means many writers are nominated but few are chosen.

I think it’s stunning to even be nominated because small presses see A LOT of writing.

Anyhow, I got two nominations in 2023 and, for someone who has incredible self doubt when it comes to writing, this felt massive.
